Learn what you want, at your own pace
Form Labs' Philosophy: Going to school for audio engineering or music production is not for everyone - especially if you already have a college degree or are an established artist.
Unlike large classes, private lessons allow you get exactly what you need as quickly and efficiently as possible. The focus of each lesson is what you want it to be. If you are interested in long-term study, we will work with you to develop a personalized curriculum.
We teach numerous audio production environments, techniques, and concepts. Just because something isn’t listed doesn’t mean we can’t help you with it. Softwares that are specifically listed are the most common tools, but, there are a lot of other applications, techniques, and plugins that we can teach. Contact us with your specifics and we will create a specalized class for your skill level and goals.

Lessons
Ableton Live
If you want to learn Live, you will be hard-pressed to find a better option than Form Labs. Brian Jackson is arguably the premier Ableton Live instructor in the US.
Pro Tools
Brian has been using Pro Tools since 1996. He has features in the software. If there is something you want to learn about Pro Tools, we can help.
Logic Pro
With Logic 8, Apple really got it right. Always incredibly deep and powerful, Logic is now more user friendly (and affordable) than ever. We have multiple instructors available for Logic users of all levels.
Reason
Reason is popular for a ... reason. If you want to learn how to get that elusive "pro" sound out of this powerful application, just let us know.
Melodyne
Melodyne is a total game changer. Not only the ultimate pitch correction software on the market, but also an amazing creative tool. Getting the most out of this revolutionary software requires practice and knowledge of tonality beyond the obvious.
MIDI & Synthesis
MIDI is the foundation for many styles of music. Often confounding to beginners, and occasional frustrating to intermediates, learning the ins and outs of MIDI will open limitless creative possibilities and greatly expand your options.
Synthesis is to electronic music as guitar is to Rock 'N Roll. You need to know your Subtractive from your FM from your Granular and an LFO from an Envelope, a Low Pass Filter from a Mod Matrix. A world of sounds is hidden behind all of those presets.
Audio Engineering
Wonder why your songs don't sound like the records you listen to? Then you need to learn how to engineer your productions.
